Birthday

5 more days. That's it. I can't believe I'm gonna be 17 in 5 days. It just seems unreal to me. Heck, I still remember when I turned 13 for crying out loud. I remember the party that I had when Amanda M. and Amanda H. hated each other and so Amanda M. threw a pillow at Amanda H., missed, and hit our lamp instead, causing it to fall off of the table it was on. That was the WORST party ever I think. I got so pissed at people. Plus, I got pissed at my sister because she kept hanging around with me and my friends. Grrr... Anyways, yeah, pretty much everyone is invited. Sorry to Karolyn and Krista and Sylvia and all them but this kinda didn't get planned for sure until like this past Friday and even then it wasn't concrete. So a lot of people that I would have invited have plans already for Saturday (which is my b-day not just the day of the party). Next year maybe. I'll make sure and send you guys special invitations. But for anyone who I've talked to from school that knows they can come, the party will basically be movies, games, and FOOD!!! I do need clues for movies you guys want to watch just like Matt. Tell me your scary movie, funny movie, sad movie, chick flick, action movie, fantasy movie etc. preferences because I want to get something from every genre, that way there's something everyone will like. It doesn't matter if you've seen it, just give me your favorite movie from those categories. As for games, there will NOT be any straw/Q-tip wars and I will probably not play the couch game. I was thinking more like fun board games/tournaments or playin outside if it's nice enough out. It should be fun so I hope you guys don't miss it. I really want the people that I have talked to to come, i.e. Daniel, Chris, Storm, Francisco, Matt, Alex, Sammy, Kristen, Mary (maybe if she can), Patrick, Meghan if she wants, Nikki, Rodney, and I think that's about it. I could invite work people besides Sammy but I doubt people would want to come lol. Oh well. (Let me just add in here that I find it EXTREMELY FUNNY that there are only hmm... 5 of the 13 people mentioned above GIRLS!!!) I know we'll have fun anyways, no matter how many people come. I remember when I wanted to throw just a small party last year or maybe that was the year before, like NO ONE CAME!! It sucked :'( I was very unhappy. But yeah.

For other news. I got in the mail yesterday or the day before, can't remember which, a letter from Creative Communication (a contest place) that I may be a finalist for an essay contest that i entered. They mainly sent the letter to try to get me to buy a book but regardless, I may still be in the running for prize money. Funny, I never thought I would be eligible to win an ESSAY contest. I've been a finalist for plenty of POETRY contests but this is different. I'm not that big on essays and long writing. Oh well, good news is good news. And I guess it kinda counts that the essay that i wrote was about Poetry :-D I'll never change.
